The Steinhatchee River Chamber is hosting its second annual Festival of Trees at the Steinhatchee Community Center Dec. 20-23.
βEleven trees are available for clubs and local businesses who want to participate,β organizers said. βThe first 11 to register will get a tree to decorate. We provide the trees, which are pre-lit and 6.5 feet tall. You do the decorating on Thursday, Dec. 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and then the contest is on.β
The fee to sponsor a tree is $20. Call the chamber at (352) 356-8185 or e-mail info@ steinhatcheeriverchamber. org to sponsor a tree.
The community center will be open for community viewing and voting on Saturday, Dec. 20, through Tuesday, Dec. 23, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Here is a highlight video of the Steinhatchee School putting on their annual Who-liday Special. All of the kids did a wonderful job. Todd Mitchell once again nailed his part as the Grinch.
The Steinhatchee School will be putting on its annual rendition of Dr. Seuss's classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
There will be two showings that are open to the public on Friday December 12th. The times will be 12:30pm and 7pm. Tickets Cost $2.50. The event will take place at Steinhatchee Elementary School.
